The project site was an existing 19.64 acre school facility with ancillary sports fields and aquatic center, as well as a Palm Beach County Park Site/Mitigation Area located on the northeast corner of Cherry Road and Military Trail in Palm Beach County which is to be converted to a municipal complex that will compose of a police training facility, county impound, and maintenance facility. We began in 2008 conducting feasibility studies of the site. Our services continued under a Continuing Contract with Palm Beach County, which was awarded to Saltz Michelson Architects. As their civil engineering sub-consultant under this contract our services included drainage calculations, utility system design, permitting and access management. Our services during construction included shop drawing review, site inspections and project certifications. This project was designed and built on schedule and within budget. Project delivery is a traditional design-bid-build.
